Limited edition opaque blue colour vinyl.
First time on vinyl, housed in gatefold sleeve with insert.
Ed really took his time and expanded his palette, and his incredible skill as an arranger have never been more apparent. We have disco rave-ups, blues standards (with faux vinyl crackling for extra authenticity), spaghetti western pastiches and sprawling, ambitious instrumental tracks. But what really shines are the songs: he has never written a more beautiful love song than 'All of These Things' or a more memorable tune than 'Fireman Joe', and his lyrics have never been better than on 'The Weepin' Willow'.
'Pushin' Fear II' reinvents the old Aints tune 'A Good Soundtrack' into an elaborately arranged country-disco hybrid, whereas 'How Would You Plead?' sees Kuepper taking some musical lead from late-nineties trip-hop.
A critical album for Kuepper, and a strong contender for best Australian album of the 1990s.
